COMMONWEALTH MASTER SCHOLARSHIP TENABLE IN THE UNITED KINGDOM – 2024/2025

The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK (CSC) invites candidates wishing to pursue a master’s degree in the United Kingdom commencing in September 2024 to apply using the CSC’s Online Application System between 5th September – 17th October 2023.

 

Information on how to use the online application system is available at: https://cscuk.fcdo.gov.uk/scholarships/commonwealth-masters-scholarships/. Candidates are strongly encouraged to submit independent applications to their chosen institutions in the UK prior to, or at the time of their submission, without waiting for the results of the selection procedures. The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) will submit the list of eligible candidates to the Nominating Agency (Ministry of the Public Service, Constitutional and Political Reform and Religious Affairs). The Nominating Agency through its National Selection Panel will conduct an interview with each eligible candidate. The top two (2) candidates will be Belize Nominations for onward submission to CSC by 12th December 2023.

MASTERS SCHOLARSHIP – CHILE

The Government of Chile has advised of the launch of the Masters’ Scholarship Programme 2024. The Programme offers scholarships to pursue studies for Masters’ Degrees at Universities in Chile over the period 1 March 2024 to 30 September 2024 inclusive. The subject areas offered are extensive and include Sciences, Arts, Engineering, Linguistics, Mathematics, Literature, Nutrition, Psychology, Social Work, Philosophy, History and Sociology. Interested applicants should be able to speak, read and write proficiently in Spanish. Applications must be submitted by 30 November 2023 to the Embassy of Chile in Georgetown, Guyana via the email addresses nonesia@minrel.gob.cl and echile.guyana@minrel.gob.cl.

IRELAND FELLOWS PROGRAMME FOR SMALL ISLAND DEVELOPING STATES (SIDS)

The Ireland Fellows Programme for Small Island Developing States (SIDS) offers selected students the opportunity to undertake a fully-funded one-year Master’s level programme at a higher education institution in Ireland. The application period for the academic year 2024-2024 opens on 3 July 2023. Further information can be found on the Irish Aid website:

2024-2025 CHEVENING SCHOLARSHIPS

Applications for 2024-2025 Chevening Scholarships are now open from 12 September 2023 to 7 November 2023. Chevening is the UK government’s international scholarships programme. Funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and partner organisations, we offer awards to study in the UK for one year on a fully funded master’s degree course.

OAS – SEDI LANGUAGE COOPERATION PROGRAMME

The Language Cooperation Programme offers citizens of OAS Member states the opportunity to learn one of our 4 official languages – English, Spanish, French and Portuguese. The Programme will begin with Spanish language learning opportunities for Caribbean member states. A special feature of this program is the training and certification for teachers of Spanish as a second language. Courses will begin on Monday October 9th and conclude on December 15th, 2023.
