The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Belize (MFA&FT) is responsible for strengthening Belize’s bilateral relations and expanding ties with new bilateral partners. Belize has bilateral relations with countries in North, Central and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Pacific, and Asia.

The MFA&FT seeks to expand and identify new areas for cooperation with bilateral partners in areas such as the environment, climate, business and trade, education, culture and energy among others. The MFA&FT promotes cooperation with bilateral partners based on friendship, mutual interest and solidarity. The MFA&FT will continue working to strengthen the scope of diplomatic relations with bilateral partners at the regional and international levels.
