Foreign Minister Fonseca receives US Ambassador-designate Rudolph Andreas Bauer

Hon. Francis Fonseca, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Education, Culture, Science and Technology, today received Mr. Rudolph Andreas Bauer, Ambassador-designate of the United States of America, for the presentation of copies of his Letter of Credence.

Following the presentation, Minister Fonseca and the Ambassador-designate engaged in a constructive bilateral meeting on the longstanding relationship between Belize and the United States.

Their discussions focused on key areas of mutual interest, including the Millennium Challenge Corporation Compact and opportunities to advance economic growth and development through strategic investments. The two sides also discussed security cooperation, expanding trade and investment, and deepening collaboration in areas of shared priority.

Minister Fonseca welcomed the continued partnership between Belize and the United States and extended best wishes to the Ambassador-designate Bauer for a successful and productive tenure.

Her Excellency Dame Froyla Tzalam, Governor-General of Belize, will later receive Ambassador-designate Bauer for the presentation of his Letters of Credence, after which he will officially commence his tour of duty.
